What WP-AOD is

AOD-9604 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human growth hormone (residues 176–191) with an added N-terminal tyrosine. It was developed to isolate the lipid-metabolic activity of the hGH C-terminus from the growth-promoting activity of the full hormone.

Mechanism described in the literature

In the preclinical literature AOD-9604 does not bind the growth hormone receptor and does not raise IGF-1 in the models studied. Its activity has been examined in adipocyte lipolysis and lipogenesis assays and in diet-induced-obesity and β3-adrenoceptor-knockout mouse models, where β3-AR expression was a focus.

Handling and storage

Store sealed vials at -20 °C, protected from light and moisture. 2–8 °C is acceptable for short periods such as transit and receiving. Allow a cold vial to reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation on the lyophilized cake.

Vials ship sealed, cushioned and with a desiccant pack in plain packaging. Each vial is labeled with the product code, net content and the research-use designation. A packing slip lists the product codes and quantities ordered.
