What WP-DSIP is

Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a nonapeptide, Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood in 1977 during studies of sleep-related humoral factors.

Mechanism described in the literature

DSIP's mechanism remains incompletely characterized in the literature; no dedicated receptor has been confirmed. It has been studied in relation to electroencephalographic delta activity, hypothalamic–pituitary hormone release and stress physiology, and is a long-standing subject of neuropeptide research precisely because of these open questions.

Handling and storage

Store sealed vials at -20 °C, protected from light and moisture. 2–8 °C is acceptable for short periods such as transit and receiving. Allow a cold vial to reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation on the lyophilized cake.

Vials ship sealed, cushioned and with a desiccant pack in plain packaging. Each vial is labeled with the product code, net content and the research-use designation. A packing slip lists the product codes and quantities ordered.
