What WP-TA1 is

Thymosin alpha-1 (Tα1, thymalfasin sequence) is a 28-amino-acid, N-terminally acetylated peptide originally isolated from thymic tissue. The synthetic peptide is supplied as the acetate salt.

Mechanism described in the literature

Tα1 is described as an immunomodulator acting through Toll-like receptors (notably TLR2 and TLR9) on dendritic cells and other myeloid cells, promoting Th1-type responses and dendritic-cell maturation while also engaging regulatory (IDO-dependent) pathways. It is studied as a pleiotropic regulator of innate and adaptive immune signaling.

Handling and storage

Store sealed vials at -20 °C, protected from light and moisture. 2–8 °C is acceptable for short periods such as transit and receiving. Allow a cold vial to reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation on the lyophilized cake.

Vials ship sealed, cushioned and with a desiccant pack in plain packaging. Each vial is labeled with the product code, net content and the research-use designation. A packing slip lists the product codes and quantities ordered.
